Philip Radburn

I founded BusinesSPM in 2006 after corporate life with companies such as Unisys, Oracle and Paxus. From my first career as a software developer, through my second career in management, and now my third career in my own business, I’ve been interested in (obsessed with?) improving how things are done in order to achieve better outcomes. My approach blends a process approach (everything in an organisation depends on a process), people thinking (people aren’t the assets or resources of an organisation, they are the organisation) with my extensive experience and my thinking/learning self.
Here’s my business profile, followed by my career summary.

My profile

My professional goal is to build sales and services companies into the best in their class. I show them how they can utilise their people, assets and investments to boost top and bottom line performance, with little or no further investment. I then help them take fast and effective action to capture their revenue and profit opportunities.
Over 20 years of experience in the IT industry has included:
  • Consulting and management roles in sales, operations and professional services - specialising in the improvement of customer satisfaction, quality and productivity, and IT performance.
  • Business analysis, business case development, project management and membership of senior management teams.
  • Management of external providers and consultants.
  • Leading cross-functional improvement projects and involvement in global project teams.
This experience has been gained whilst working with some of the world's leading IT companies including Oracle, Unisys and Honeywell. It has been enhanced by the successful fulfilment of roles in Australia, Japan, the United States and throughout the Asia Pacific Region.
